A life-changing dream│A Heart toughing Real Story
In this blog post I have narrated a heart toughing real story. It is about Hazrat Malik Bin Dinar (R.A) who was holding a high position in the police department and was leading a sinful life before repentance. Alcoholism, adultery, bribery, cruelty and coercion, all kinds of evil were their norm. But a dream changed his life and he repented of his sins and became a true Wali Allah.
Let's Start the Story
"A
life-changing dream"
Hazrat Malik Bin Dinar (R.A) was
holding a high position in the police department and was living a life full of
sins. Drinking alcohol, adultery, bribery, cruelty and coercion, all kinds of
evil were their norm.
A girl was born to him during his
life of sin. The girl grew up a little and started running, but by God's grace
she died.
That girl was very dear to him.
The innocent performances of that girl used to attract his heart. He was deeply
saddened by her death.
Hazrat Malik bin Dinar himself
states:
“I continued to indulge in
alcoholism and other vices. One night, which was probably the night of 15th of
Sha'ban, I fell asleep after drinking alcohol as usual. What do I see in my
dream that the Day of Resurrection has come and I am standing in the field of
destiny? A big dragon is running towards me with its mouth open. I run away
from him to save my life. But there is no way to run around. That snake is
still following me. What I see is an old, frail man standing dressed in a fragrant
white robe. I said to him:
“Baba Ji, for God's sake, save me
from the snake, it is following me and will eat me.
The old man cried and said that this
snake is very powerful and I am very weak. How can I stop this?” I got
frustrated with the old man and kept running.”
Hazrat Malik bin Dinar says:
“Going forward I saw a huge
trench, which was full of fire and its flames were talking to the sky. Its fury
was going far. I got more scared. Now the way forward is also blocked. Ahead is
a trench and behind is a snake. Even when I reached the very edge of the
trench, a voice was heard:
“O person! You are not fit to
fall into this ditch, back off.”
Hearing this voice gave me some
satisfaction. By this time, the snake had come close to me. Because of which I
was very worried.
Meanwhile, my deceased daughter
appeared there and said:
“O my God! You are my father. How
are you here?
Then the girl raised her right hand
towards me and her left hand towards the snake and the snake ran away. The girl
took me by the right hand and sat on my lap like she used to sit on my lap
lovingly before she died. Then she said:
“O father! Hasn't the time come
for the hearts of the believers to soften for the remembrance of Allah?”
Hazrat Malik He says that I asked him”
“Do you people read Quran?”
She said:
“We here in the world of Barzakh
know more Quran than you.”
I asked him:
“Tell me what this snake was like
and who was that old man?
That girl said:
“This snake was your bad action,
which has become so powerful. The old man whom you have asked to save from the
snake, was your good deed. One who has become so weak that he cannot resist the
evil action.
Hazrat Malik Bin Dinar says that
I understood everything after hearing this from her. Then I asked the girl:
“What are you guys doing here?
She said:
“Allah Ta'ala has stopped us on
this mountain. We are waiting for you here. So that when someone from among you
comes here, we should intercede for him as much as possible in the presence of
Allah”
When Hazrat Malik bin Dinar woke
up from his sleep, his world had changed. Now they stopped drinking alcohol and
other sins and started worshiping and obeying God.
He repented in such a way that the
Saints of Allah reached the first rank. He was blessed with so much knowledge
of God that he used to say:
“Most of the people have left the
world but they have not tasted the most delicious thing.”
He was asked:
"What is that most delicious
thing, that people leave this world without tasting it?"
Hazrat Malik said:
"That is divine knowledge."
