A man urinated in Masjid Nabawi│Story of a compassionate teacher
In this blog post I have narrated a very interesting and real Islamic story. This strange and instructive story is about a man who urinated in Masjid Nabawi. The way he was treated after his evil deed surely has a great lesson for us too.
Let's Start the Story.
"A man urinated in Masjid Nabawi│Story of a compassionate teacher”
Once Hazrat
Muhammad (Peace
Be upon Him) was sitting the Masjid-e Nabavi of the Prophet with his Companions
when an Araabi (villager) came and sat in His assembly.
After a while
the villager needed to urinate, so he sat down inside the mosque to urinate and
started urinating. The Companions (R.A) raised a noise and ran to kill him. Hazrat
Muhammad (Peace
Be upon Him) immediately
forbade his companions not to say anything to him. Let him pee.
Then Hazrat
Muhammad (Peace
Be upon Him) advised the
Companions (R.A):
“You were created to ease, not to cause pain.”
When he (PBUH)
was finished with the Araabi's urine, he (PBUH) ordered the Companions (R.A) to
pour water there. Then he (PBUH) called that Araabi to him with great love.
That Arab came afraid and trembling, not knowing what would happen to me now.
He (PBUH)
explained to the villager very lovingly:
“This mosque is a holy place; such things are
not done in it. Allah is remembered here. Allah Almighty is worshipped.”
Then he (PBUH)
asked the reason for his arrival, so the Araabi said:
“I have heard that you have a lot of wealth
and you give generously. I came to get something.”
So he (PBUH)
gave him a pair of clothes. A horse was given for riding along with a herd of
goats. He was fed and sent away respectfully.
Tears came to
the eyes of that Araabi after seeing his (PBUH) high morals and he immediately
converted to Islam. Then he went to his tribe and started preaching Islam.
He used to tell
people about his foolishness and ignorant behavior and also about the great
character and generosity of the Prophet (PBUH). Then he used to say:
By God! Even
for being so insolent, the Prophet (PBUH) neither rebuked me nor insulted me
nor hit me. Rather, he (PBUH) explained to me with love. By God! I have never
seen a more compassionate teacher than he (PBUH). Guys! Believe in the Prophet
(Peace Be upon Him) who rewards evil with good.
The invitation and preaching of that Araabi had such an effect that the next time this villager came to Madina; he brought a whole group of 300 men with him, who accepted Islam by putting their hands in the hands of the Prophet (PBUH).
