In this blog post I have narrated a real Islamic story. This story is about a beautiful but angelic girl and a poor but very good & pious young man who were married in a very strange way. This story will also tell you how many blessings follow religion.

Hazrat
Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (R.A) was a very famous scholar. He was a great Muhaddith.
Once,
during the time of Caliph, Abdul Malik bin Marwan, for his son Waleed bin Abdul
Malik, who was also the crown prince at that time, asked Hazrat Saeed for his
daughter's relationship.
Hazrat
Saeed gave an excuse simply because of religion that I would give a
relationship to a religious person instead of a worldly person. Abdul Malik was
very angry and gave him 100 lashes in the severe cold season.
Abdullah
bin Abi Wada'a, a very poor and penniless but pious person, used to attend
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib's assembly.
Once
Abi Wada’a did not appear for several days, then Hazrat Saeed was deeply
troubled. Finally, after a few days, when Hazrat Abdullah appeared, Hazrat
Saeed asked him the reason for not being there for so many days.
Hazrat
Saeed said:
“My
wife had passed away. Due to which I was engaged in various affairs.”
Hazrat
Saeed said:
“At
least you had to report. We also participated in the funeral.”
Abdullah
bin Abi Wada'a says that at the end of the assembly, when I got up and started
coming, Hazrat Saeed asked:
“Have
you married another?
I
submitted:
“Who
will give me relationship now? I have the status of two p I have the status of two Paisa.
Hazrat
Saeed said that I give you the relationship of my daughter. Then he read the
sermon in the same assembly and got his daughter married to me on a very small
dowry.
After
the marriage, I left there. I was very happy that I got a relationship with the
house of such a great Muhaddith and Saint. The relationship that the king of
time asked for his prince but was refused, today this one poor dervish got it.”
Hazrat
Abdullah says:
“I
now have this thought that I have to bring my wife in home. After all, some
money is needed to arrange the Bride's Departure. Where will I get it? Who
should I ask for a loan? Do what?
I was
lost in these thoughts. I came home after Maghrib prayer and Lighted the lamp.
I got olive oil on dry bread and started eating it. Just then there was a knock
on the door.”
I
asked who is it.
Said!
I am Saeed.
I was
wondering which Saeed it is. I did not even think about Hazrat Saeed bin
Al-Musayyib. Because, for 40 years he had not been allowed himself to go
anywhere except to his house and mosque.
When
I opened the door, Hazrat Saeed was standing in front.
I said:
If
there was any work, I would be ordered to attend.
He
said:
“I
thought that you are married now. That is why I have brought your wife.”
After
saying this, Hazrat Saeed put his girl inside the door and went back on his own
feet. The innocent girl collapsed due to shame.
I
immediately hid the bread and oil so that she would not be seen. Then I climbed
on the roof of the house and reported this to my neighbors and people nearby.
People
were very surprised that such a beautiful and well-behaved girl was written in
my destiny. After that I could not attend Hazrat Saeed’s service for a month.
Finally,
after a month, when I appeared in his assembly, he asked:
“How did
you find this girl”?
I
submitted:
“I
found her Very good.”
Hazrat
Saeed said:
“If
someone disobeys an order, then take notice of it with a stick (i.e. punish)”
When
I returned home, Hazrat Saeed sent 20,000 dirham to a man to help me so that I
could use them in my work.
