The story of a beautiful maid│A Real Islamic Story

The story of a beautiful maid│A Real Islamic Story

In this blog post I have narrated an interesting and real story of a beautiful slave girl. Who, due to the very beautiful and effective preaching of a Wali Allah, not only left the life of sins but also became a means to bring his master to the right path.

Lest's Start the Story

"The story of a beautiful maid"

Once Hazrat Malik bin Dinar, may God bless him and grant him peace, was walking in the street of Basra when a Noble's beautiful maid passed by. She was accompanied by many other servants and slaves.

That maid was so beautiful that whoever saw it would have been stunned. The concubine was riding gracefully on a horse. Everyone was standing and enjoying her beauty and talking about her beauty and brilliance.

When Hazrat Malik bin Dinar saw that there was such a beautiful woman, people were fascinated by her beauty. I thought why not draw their attention to the hereafter.

So he said in a loud voice, "O slave girl! Will your master sell you?

Everyone was surprised that Hazrat Sahib was also affected by this slave girl.

When the maid looked at him, he was wearing a torn old robe and he was standing in a dervish style with extreme simplicity. She stopped riding and said, "O Sheikh! Now repeat what you said.

Hazrat Malik said, "Will your master sell you?"

The maid said, "Even if he sells, does a pauper and dervish like you, have the power to buy me?" Where is your status and where is my personality?

After saying this, the maid said to her slaves that they should take this Baba Ji with them, they will do some work.

Hazrat Malik reached the palace of the chief of this concubine. The palace was very magnificent. Slaves were standing outside, which welcomed the slave girl and took her inside. Hazrat Malik Bin Dinar (R.A) was standing at the door of the palace. The maid went in and said to her master:

“Today I will tell you a strange thing. I found an old pauper in the bazaar, wearing a tattered old robe. He was so enamored with my beauty that he said spontaneously, Will your master sell you?"

The Master laughed hearing this and asked her where that person is now.

"I have brought him along, he is standing outside the palace," she said.

The master ordered that this sage should be brought before me. When Hazrat Malik went inside, he saw that it was a very magnificent palace. There are carpets everywhere. Many dignitaries are standing and the master is sitting on a golden throne. Hazrat Malik was definitely not affected by all these things and went straight to that person.

The Master said, "O Sheikh! Say what you want to say.

When Hazrat Malik repeated the same thing, the master laughed and repeated and said, "How much will this slave girl be worth to you?"

Hazrat Malik said, "To me, its value is less than two old palm kernels."

Hearing this, the slave girl, her master and other slaves all started laughing and asked “what is the reason for such a small price?”

Hazrat Malik said, "Because there are many faults in this slave girl."

The master asked, "What are the defects in it?" We also want to know something.

Addressing the master of the maid, Hazrat Malik said:

"If she does not apply a perfume, her body will start smelling bad." If she doesn't brush her teeth, her teeth will smell bad. If the oil is not combed through her hair, lice may occur. If she gets older, she will start looking old. Dirty blood comes to her. She passes urine and stool. All kinds of dirt are present in her. She is so selfish that she loves you just for her own sake. Today, if any pain comes to her from you, all her love will end. She is very unfaithful. Today she is with you, tomorrow she will give her place to someone else and start loving him. She gets fever and all kinds of other ailments. Her life has no value when she goes into the embrace of death.”

"I have a bond a thousand degrees better than this slave girl. She is made from camphor essence. Musk and saffron are included in her fermentation. If her saliva is put in bitter water, it becomes sweet. If she talks to the dead, he will come back to life. If she shows her wrist in front of the sun, the sun will become lightless. If she comes in dark, the whole house will be illuminated. If she goes around the world with her adornment, then the whole world will shine. She grew up in musk and saffron gardens. She played in the branches of ruby and coral. She drinks the water of Tasneem, the river of heaven. She never changes her love by breaking a promise. She is free from all kinds of impurities. Disease and death will not even come close to her. Old age and infirmity shall not come upon him”

“O deceived person! Now you tell me which one is more suitable in terms of spending money, yours or mine?

Hearing this, the Master said, "The slave that is yours is good, but what is her price?"

Hazrat Malik said:

"Her price is not so high. Two rak'ahs of Tahajjud prayer should be offered at night. Remember that a poor person should be remembered while eating. Keep your tongue fresh with the remembrance of Allah. The pleasure of Allah should be preferred over our own desires. Stones and thorns should be removed while walking.”

“By arranging these things, you will live a life of honor in this world and in the Hereafter you will be presented before Allah with carelessness and honor. You will be guests of Allah in Paradise forever.”

After hearing all these things, the master said to his slave girl, "You have heard the Sheikh's words, is he right or wrong?"

The concubine and all those present in the palace replied that all the words of this Baba Ji were absolutely correct.

As soon as the master heard this, he started saying to this slave girl, "Go." So now you are free from me."

The master also freed all his slaves. He gave his house and all the belongings in it as charity in the way of Allah. He took off all his fancy clothes and wrapped a tote on his body.

Seeing this action of her master, the maid said to him, "O my master! After you, even for me, this life is no longer pleasant.

She also took off all her ornaments and fancy clothes. He gave all her possessions in charity in the way of Allah and dressed modestly and worshiped with her master.

In this way, both of them spent the rest of their lives in the worship of Allah and died in this state.
